About Us
We are a small family owned and operated company in Southern Oklahoma. We are just normal everyday people who love making things by hand. Neither one of us have any special talents or degrees when it comes to doing things we have never done before, we just know we can figure it out. It gives us a sense of fulfillment when we see a project through, from being an idea in our head to the cutting of the laser, the final piece of paper in a scrapbook to seeing our projects come to life. A few years ago Dustin decided to get a diode laser to play around with and see what kind of things he could make using the laser. He had so much fun that we decided to go ahead and get an industrial Co2 laser, and he has been having a blast with it. It has expanded our DIY’s and has also helped us expand our website. We can pretty much do anything with it, it’s all left up to our/your imagination.
All of our cutting boards, wine caddies, and wooden coasters are 100% completely hand made by our own two hands. The wood that we use is either native to America or exotic from Africa and other exotic locations. We do not put any stains or colors on any of our boards. All the wood that we use is the natural color that comes from the tree itself.
It all started a few years ago, my husband has always liked to do wood working, from just messing around in the shop to building things for our house. Then one day he had the creative thought to make me a cutting board, since all the ones I had were not very good. I absolutely love my cutting board, so then we thought, I wonder if we can sell these, and thus started our adventure into running our own business. After doing tons of research and watching tons of videos and talking for hours upon hours we finally decided to start up DTA Creations in 2021. Now we are new to this whole thing so please be patient with us as we fumble our way through.
